I came across this poem on Favor-It Party Ideas blog and I had to share it with you. I thought you might be able to use these uplifting words at the end of a tough week! I know it's the hardest job I have ever had - and the most fulfilling to be sure. :) Enjoy!!
Real Mothers
Real mothers don't eat quiche , they don't have time to make it.
Real mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.
Real mothers often have sticky floors , filthy ovens and happy kids.
Real mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of shag carpet (what are you doing with shag carpet anyway?? LOL).
Real mothers sometimes ask "Why me?" and get their answer when a little voice says "because I love you best."
Real mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade....It is measured by the progression of Mama to Mommy to Mother. - Unknown Author

That brought back the best memories. It is amazing how quickly the "mother" phase comes into your life. Hug your little ones often and play together everyday!
What a great poem. Happy children are definitely more important than a clean home (I think I need to hand that as a sign on my front door...a sort of warning :)
Great poem! Utensils in the sandbox, sticky floor, filthy oven...totally my house. lol!
Thank you for sharing that. Just beautiful, and JUST what I needed today :)
Oh wow. That is terrific. I needed that today. Wonderful.
